This painting was made for a sweet little boy, who, as his mom describes, drew the short end of the stick. His mom had sent me an email the other night, looking for another art company because her son loves art! Her son, Braden, has what is called ataxia-telangiectasia (don't ask how to pronounce that!)...also known as A-T. It is basically having muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, cancer, and an immune deficiency disorder all in one..rare, progressive, and terminal. Could you only imagine? (Her son is only going on four.)
In her email, she had sent me the link to her website, so I took a look. As I was glancing through the website, I ran across Braden's 'Bucket List.' Many of the items had something to do with trains..going to Thomas Land, driving a steam engine, ride the Polar Express, and riding a bullet train. As my boyfriend and I were looking through Braden's blog..we both thought that I should do something that might just put that big smile on Braden's face. So.. I decided to combine Braden's love for trains (and the color yellow), and my love for art..and there you go..you have a painting with a train!
Hello! My name is Laura and I am originally from Huntsville, AL. I have been painting for a couple of years now and can't get enough of it! My first ever painting was of a cross for my cousin for Christmas. My family and I had been at a craft show and saw the cutest paintings and they all said "I bet you could do that!" So we stopped at my now home away from home, Hobby Lobby, and got all of my supplies! I spent a couple of hours painting, and at the end, it didn't turn out half bad (for my first painting). Ever since then, I just kept painting and playing with new ideas and techniques and that is how Doodlebug Art was born. Now that I am finished with school at Alabama, I hope to make Doodlebug Art bigger and better than before! My absolute favorite thing about painting is sharing my ideas with you all, my fans, my customers, my support team. I would not be here with you and I hope you enjoy Doodlebug Art just as much as I do!
I hope you able to find what you are looking for here. Thank you for taking the time to view my paintings and my website. To order a painting or if you have any questions, please email me at Doodlebugart1@gmail.com
