Happy Thursday everyone!  Friday is almost here..yay!  I am ready for a fun-filled 4th of July weekend, and I am sure y'all are too!  I thought I'd take a quick minute to share the latest painting - another elephant painting.  I could paint a hundred of these things and never get tired of them!

This one is going out to Elizabeth over at Elizabeth's Crafty Creations

I have been working hard on my latest hobby (in my little spare time).  I found this little cutie at the thrift store for only $20.  There is nothing much to it, but I thought it could work in a bathroom or next to a bed.

I have been working hard to get it refinished!   I have primed it and finished painting most of it today.  I still have a few other things to do to it, and then I will share my final product!

The other day I stumbled upon this wonderful website, Vintage Revivals.  I probably spent hours looking through her site and drooling over the cutest furniture and decorating tips.  When she restores furniture, she uses a technique called glazing.  It can turn the drabbest piece of furniture into the cutest thing!  The second I could, I headed to the thrift store and Home Depot to get all my supplies to 'play.'

My first purchase was a dollar frame at the thrift store.  I just wanted something to try out and see if I was even any good.  I forgot to take my before picture, but the frame was just a plane hunter green frame..nothing to it. That is, until I got my hands on it and turned it into this:

It is hard to see the glaze on the frame because there is not much to the frame.. So I headed back to the thrift store to find something a little more detailed..

This morning when I headed back, I found 2 mirrors that I thought would work perfect!  I spent a total of $10 for both of the mirrors.  This time, I remembered my before pictures!

Please ignore the trees in the mirror and the fake green 'turf' is part of the lovely wheelchair ramp that is currently at our house for the bull rider..

Alabama Circles

This painting was created for my dad's work office - so it just HAD to be Alabama themed!  I love how it turned out.  It only has Alabama colors in it - many different shades of reds, black, white, and grays.  There are also a couple of things that are somewhat hidden in the picture -  I spy an Alabama "A" and a "roll tide."

This painting can be done in your favorite team colors - or just your favorite colors in general!

The other day, I was shopping in Hobby Lobby (shocker, I know) and I stumbled across a wall of the cutest flowers that are used for scrapbooks..

They have them in every color!

After I looked over them, I had one of those 'hmmm' moments.  So I grabbed a pack of my favorite color and went home and went to work with it & this is what I came up with!

This is a 7x9 canvas with pinks, beige, and green.  I incorporated ribbon in these colors and added the flowers on the bottom.

Ribbon patterns used.

This canvas is available for $14 and is ready for your initial or monogram!

The giveaway ends at midnight tonight, so get those last minute entries in!  Winner will be posted tomorrow morning!

Paislee Mae

I think this canvas made the list of my favorite paintings..ever.  I love the colors, I love the layout of the canvas, and I love the name Paislee.  I also found the cutest ribbon to go with it! :D

The canvas includes the baby's birth information:  DOB, time, weight, and length.

I tried out something a little new with this canvas - glitter.  In the middle of the yellow flowers, I though I'd spruce them up a tad bit with some yellow glitter, which turned out so cute!  I have lots of other colors of glitter that I am ready to try out!

And for a couple fixing to get married...

And don't forget about the GIVEAWAY going on right now!  Check out  this post on ways to enter!  It ends Saturday night, so get those entries in each day!!

So sorry I have been absent lately!  We have had a little accident in the family!  This article will tell you all you need to know!

As you may have noticed, I changed up the blog a little bit.  I decided it was time for something new.  I also ordered some very cute business cards and they sort of match this new design. (I like things to all coordinate!)

I am hoping to get back to painting this week.  I have some wedding gifts to work on.  I am also thinking about doing a giveaway sometime soon.  Any suggestions for a giveaway?

Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend!
